Rank and Organization FAQ:

Q: Are these ranks for characters in the roleplay?

A: No, these ranks, titles, and privileges are for Forumwar members and to be used only outside the roleplay.

Q: I don't understand the Barony thing. How does in-game territory relate to members and not characters?

A: Members who hold a Barony are responsible for keeping up with the roleplay that takes place in their territory and may be asked to provide summaries or assist in drawing up maps or blueprints. It may be easier for a member to choose a territory their character occupies frequently.

Q: So wait, is this mandatory when I reach that rank? I don't want to do any work.

A: The responsibility is voluntary, you don't have to have a Barony if you don't want to; you can be of the Baron rank but without a Barony to hold.

Q: What's with the domain thing? I already have a name.

A: The domain names are just an optional thing for those that enjoy titles, if you don't choose one then your domain name will default to your username.

Q: The pledging.. does that mean I have to do what they say?

A: Not at all. By appointing you to a Barony of their territory, they are dividing their territory and giving you an area to be responsible for.

Q: What's this nobility system for, exactly?

A: The system is designed to optionally give more power and responsibility to members as they progress.

Q: 'May lead factions to war', what's that all about?

A: We're moving back to a faction-based system, where new members must submit their characters to a specific faction for approval. To start a faction, a member must be of Rogue rank or higher. The minimum amount of members a faction can have is three.
